Estimates are planning figures, not quotes

Every number on this site — the satellite estimator, the calculator, the state and material guides — is a planning estimate built from published cost data and, for the estimator, satellite measurement with a typical accuracy of ±5–10% on area. It is not a quote, bid, or contract. A roofer's price follows an on-site inspection and can differ, in particular because decking condition, hidden shingle layers, and flashing state cannot be assessed remotely.

Roofer prices

Prices submitted through the real-prices step are good-faith prices from independent roofing companies, labeled by those companies as subject to on-site verification of decking and layers. GetMyRoofCost does not employ the roofers, does not perform the work, and does not warrant their work. Verify licensing and insurance before signing any contract — each state page tells you what to verify.

Referral fees

If you choose a roofer through this site, that roofer may pay us a referral fee. You never pay us anything, and the fee does not change the price the roofer gives you.

Data accuracy

Our cost dataset is triangulated from published sources named on the methodology page and reviewed quarterly, but construction pricing moves. Figures are provided for planning without warranty of any kind.

Acceptable use

The estimator is for homeowners pricing their own roof. Automated bulk queries, resale of the data, and misrepresentation of our estimates as quotes are prohibited.
