Last updated October 30, 2026. This page describes, in plain words, exactly what GetMyRoofCost collects and what it never does. Our lead model is a selling point, not fine print.

The free estimate

When you enter an address, our server uses it once to request roof measurements from Google's Solar API. We do not build a profile of you, we do not set advertising cookies for the estimate, and the address is not sold or shared. Our server logs record only the derived estimate (roof size, pitch summary) and ZIP code for cost-data quality purposes — not the street address.

The real-prices step (optional)

If you choose to request real prices, you give us an email address only — no name, no phone, no account. The consent text you agree to (version rlf-1.0) reads:

"By entering your email, you agree that GetMyRoofCost may share your roof's measurements — size, pitch, material, and our estimate range, plus your city and ZIP — with local roofing companies so they can send you a price. We will never share your name, email, phone number, or street address with any roofer unless you choose that roofer and tell us to. Your email is used only to send you prices and updates about your request. It is never sold. You can withdraw at any time; withdrawing deletes your request and releases nothing."

Roofers receive a job card with your roof's measurements, your chosen material, our estimate range, and your city and ZIP. They never receive your name, email, phone number, or street address. Your details are released only to a single roofer you personally select, only when you click to release them. If you choose nobody, nothing is released, ever, and the prices simply expire.

Your email is used only to send you the confirmation link, the prices, and updates about your request. It is never sold. Withdrawing consent deletes your request and releases nothing.

Analytics

We use aggregate analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful. Satellite imagery data from Google is subject to Google's terms; raw API responses are not retained beyond 30 days, though the derived estimate figures (squares, range) attached to a job card you requested may be kept with your request.

Your choices

Email hopkins@theagencyllc.net to ask what we hold about your email address, or to have a request deleted. Deletion is honored promptly and completely.
